Marantz 2240B Stereo Light

So this past weekend I went ahead and replaced all the factory lamps on my Marantz 2240B receiver with LEDs. I purchased an entire LED kit specifically for my model. The Stereo light never worked on it to begin with, and after taking out the original bulb, it was indeed, dead. Soldered all the new bulbs back in using the schematic, making sure positive went to positive and negative went to common, since LEDs actually do have two sides. However, my Stereo light still doesn't work, and unfortunately, I never did test the lights while it was still apart (just nervous to turn it on, I guess). Could the polarity be backwards for the Stereo light, or do you think something else could be preventing it from turning on? The Mono switch does in fact work and puts the signal in Mono when depressed, and back to Stereo when "turned off". Any info would be great. Thanks.

My own fault. I went back in and checked the schematic and apparently this light is not grounded, and because the Stereo light is different from all the others, it was a little confusing as to where it was getting power. I went ahead and reversed the light, and it is now working.

I've got a related issue. I've had my Marantz 2240b for about three or four years now, and it's always worked fine. The stereo light always stayed lit up until recently when it started to go out intermittently. But now it's gone out altogether and I can't get it to come back on. I bought the unit with all the lights already replaced with LEDs, so I wasn't expecting this to occur so quickly. Does anyone have any ideas about what may have gone wrong?

Sounds like it could be an alignment issue
