Greetings AK universe. Does anyone know the part number and/or specs the EQ-35 slider LEDs? Assuming it's polarized. I want to replace all for uniformity and don't want to cobble together a set of various used ones. Thanks
I am in the process of upgrading all of the incandescent lamps to LED. The Dial lights and Signal and Tuner lights turned out beautiful. I then upgraded the left and right Power Meter lamps to LED and now have NO lights on anywhere. I must say that changing the lamps in the Power Meters were a...
I have a Yamaha RX-V675 [7.2] Receiver, with an accompanying remote, RAV290/ “WR00240-US”
The surround speaker set-up I chose, was from a local Orange County, Ca., speaker company, “Hsu sound Research” ‘Ventriloquist’ 6.1 speakers system, (front L&R) [2]
(Center) and, [1]
(rear L&R) [2]
(rear...
Long story short (kinda) - I bought this unit in November as a faulty one. Turns on, no sound. Found out it was a blown fuse, but there's loud speaker pop when turning off. Left it as it was. Just learned to switch speakers to OFF before turning the unit off.
Last week I noticed right channel...
When I power on this SA-700 the green safety light comes on and the relay clicks, as expected. I have good sound coming through both channels (after 3 rounds of cleaning/deoxit).
The Power Level LEDs, Program LEDs, and FM Stereo LEDs do not light up at all. Toggling the Power Display button...
Finally getting around to re-lamping my 4000. Several lights are out. This unit suffered some kind of surge in the past, evidenced by a partly melted plug, but does work just fine in all respects. LED kit from Joe is on the way, but doesn't include the protection bulb, and finding an original...
I have gotten hold of my father's Hitachi HA-610, the receiver I abused when I was a teenager. It is in excellent working condition, but wanted to rebuild it. After cleaning and lubing all the contacts on it, I replaced all of the electrolyric capacitors. I have two questions:
1. The power...
Here's a puzzle - I just finished recapping a KA-7100, and the relay acts kind of backwards than expected. DBT test was quickly dimmed, offset and bias set easily, LED may be suspect, although replacing LED also created a weird response. I know LED is involved in normal operation of relay and...
Hey guys.. I have a Lafayette LR-3500 which I absolutely adore and is in fantastic condition.. basically mint. I would like to upgrade the original bulbs, which are all functioning fine, to blue LEDs.. problem is that I have no idea where to go about sourcing them as there are no kits available...
Hi: Can a knowledgeable member please share with me where to order, and the exact parts numbers, for the two green and one white LED lights to replace existing bulbs in a Yamaha A1? I want to do it myself, and this is a first ever repair attempt. Any watch outs for this repair regarding specs...
Hi all,
Hope that this an easy one. I bought a LED light panel that requires a 120 AC to 12V DC converter...no big deal, got one. The correct polarity is critical for LEDs, how do I determine which lead is the positive? I’ve got a meter, just don’t know what to test for. Stupid question, I...
Hi all,
Got a Yamaha ca-2010 old girl up and running from the curb yesterday!
Had to replace a power cord and a fuse and it sounds terrific hit it with deoxit and all the switches are working and quiet - only problem is all the lights stay on even when switched off!
what might this mean?
Hello
Suddenly he stereo lamp and the Function Indicator lamps stopped shining. The LED lights are okay I tested with 9V battery. All other lamps work properly. I have tried measuring on both sides of the stereo lamp but there seems to be no voltage (V), the same goes for the Function Indicator...
Does anybody know where can I find a LED replacement for the pilot light in my Marantz 1050 (see attached picture)? I believe it's the same one used in the 1060b model. Looking for LED emitters in Mouser and Digikey is a daunting task...and even more when it has such a concrete shape like this...
Just did a full recap on my SX-850. I replaced several transistors throughout. Voltages all check out on the power supply board but the voltage on the light panel is low. I'm getting about 6.7-7.2 vac. The manual states it should be 8 v. Bias and offset have been set. From what I can tell this...
I am sorry if this is addressed elsewhere, I searched several different ways and never found anything. I received a very clean and nice Sansui 7900Z yesterday, but they “stereo” red LED indicator does not light up. And I used a couple extra LEDs I have around and held their leads on the solder...
Hi Chaps, I've got 2 Sansui 331's that I'm currently refurbing. I am fairly inexperieed but not a total newb. I have put new vinyl on both and replaced the lamps with LEDs, cleaned the pots etc. Both sound great, however one of the lamps do not light up at all when switched on, everything else...
I'm not usually a fan of LED 'upgrades' on vintage receivers. Too often, colored bulbs are used that just don't look right - intense violet or hot pink on a Technics, indigo or green on a Pioneer SX-xx80, etc. I know LED's have much better color quality now, at least the warm whites, so I...
Hey! I ordered an LED Kit on ebay... When i switch on my unit, the LED lights behind the meter scale start flickering that much i get a strobo club light. What can i do?
Cheers!
So on my 2245 that I'm getting very close to finishing now :D I got to the new LEDs ( Thanks Randy) and the front panel. I also got the AM/FM recapped and still need to cap the muting circuit. But, before the FM was washed out, weak and not very sensitive. The Stereo would light but not where...
I have tried several LED and Incandescent bulb replacements on my Yamaha 2040 Meters and all burn out in a few days. The LED's resistors overheat and burn out and the incandescent simply but out.
After watching some vids, it seems that the current is 29 to 30 volts? Does this suggest a problem...
I've been refurbishing my DD300 deck and I am just about done. The overall condition was fair and it was working OK up to a few weeks ago. I ended up taking it apart and replacing the caps for the power supply filtering. I found two leaking caps there. Basic clean and lube, dioxit the pots...
Most of us nowadays encounter LEDs, not only in electronic equipment, but in our homes and vehicles. This article discusses failure modes and causes, plus what separates cheap LEDs from better quality, longer lasting ones. Not surprisingly, construction and components associated with a LED have...
Looking for advice on my MC502 panel lighting.
The amp came with #8610 lamps (rated 6.3v). Each of the five is swaged into a steel ferrule with two long-ish insulated wires coming out. The wires are soldered at the other end. Thus, the lamps are not socketed, and of course are not available...
