Marantz 2245 VS. Kenwood KR7400

Hello,

I'm new to the vintage Hifi world and have the opportunity to pick up the units noted above. The Marantz for $450 and the Kenwood for $350. They're both in working condition but show their age. Neither unit has been restored or even cleaned. Which is the better choice.

I picked up a 7400 in March for under 300 shipped on the Bay. Already have a 6200 and 8010, so am totally biased for Kennies. Also have a Marantz SR4000, so I know something about them too.

I have never heard the Kenwood but my favorite receiver is the 2245 so i gotta go with that.

Hi, l would go the Kenwood, 63 wpc, cheaper and Kenwood's also usually have excellent tuners.
