Marantz 2270 high efficiency speakers

FWIW, I once had a conversation with a gentleman who was a dedicated Marantz technician for over 30 years. He strongly advised the 2270 be paired with 8 ohm speakers only, and to avoid any speakers with a 4 ohm nominal load.
