After few weeks, I just finished to restore my Marantz 2270. I recapped all capacities, replaced several transistors, diodes, blue switch, speaker relay and relamp all bulbs, lamps. At the end, I had a problem with popping crackles in the right amp board and without the volume potentiometer being activated when I switched on. After checking the preamp board, the popping crackles were due to transistor H753 which was defective on the right amp board. Once changed, everything works perfectly the sound is awesome and and very well balanced.
Let's go for the next project, a Marantz 1030 to restore

The pix on the bench, the lights are On. Honestly, I chose a vellum that was too thick and the result is not great. I have changed since and it is much better. I also chose to stay in original version with the incandescent bulbs and not LEDs.
 
I bought them on EBay to a German seller specialized in relamp kit. I agree with you they are not so bright. Yes It is marked 8V on the bulbs but there is no precision on the amperage. Certainly the reason why they are not so bright..

Thx a lot JD for your precious advices. I will take a look to Dave and Joseph Mirabella's portals. As you wrote, I will ask to Dave what he thinks about my bulbs

Excellent I will take a look and take in count your suggestion to order this specific vellum. I have got an another 2270 in stock who need recapping..

Yes totally agree with you a great receiver ! Less than USA, there is a lot of model Marantz for sale, it is a very popular brand among passionate audiophiles. The quality of the models of the 70s is very popular. You can find few 2270 for sale but most of the time the receivers are 2220, 2230 or 2226, 2252. But finally those are the amps 1060 and 1090 that are often on sale used.
 
Hej everybody, same problem with a 2270 original suddenly popping noise in both speakers. The problem was in the power board P800. Capacitor C805 3.3uF was leacking. Changed and solved. Check or recap all them in PB400. Transistors seems ok (original ones), musical regards
