Hello. I'm restoring a 6100 for a friend. First one I have come across.
The TT came with a weight attached, and one in a stapled bag like it has never been used.
One issue, is the one on the turntable, attached to the rod, cannot be moved among the notches to adjust the anti-skate- its as if the loop has been pulled too tight (not sure how that was accomplished as the loop size doesnt seem to slide).
But the spare weight in the stapled bag - is actually a different size, but nothing I have read anywhere indicates there were different size weights. Can anyone shed any light on these things?
Should I cut the attached weight off and install the spare? Should I worry that they are different size weights?
confused.
see pic of attached weight, and that same weight compared to the one in the bag (new, original?)

Side note - the bottom fiberboard panel, has a lot of play in it, up and down. I have taken it off and there are rubber bumpers inside where the feet are on the outside, but they arent large enough to eliminate any play on the panel itself (like if I pick up the turntable, I can push up the lower panel about 1/4 of an inch. Almost like something is missing on the 4 internal rubber bumpers that sit up against the base inside, but cant find any info on what should be there. Is this as designed, or is something missing?
