Marantz 6300 auto function turns off power

Hi- I see a lot of threads on the Marantz 6300 turntable- my issue is that not only does the auto function not operate correctly, but when it is engaged the table shuts off power, the strobe bulb goes out- it just shuts down. I have recapped the board and cleaned and deoxed everything.
The led comes on in the auto shut off unit when powered up in manual.
Just downloaded schematic info to look at.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks Jackson

yes- it shuts off and lifts the tone arm

Well, it appears that I was just using the function switches wrong You have to move the tone arm over and then press down and then it starts properly so it all functions yay
