Marantz 6300 Strobe Cover

I'm refinishing the plinth on my 6300 and I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the strobe cover. I've read pull up, rotate 90 degrees, but I'm terrified of cracking the cover. Anyone know how to safely get the thing off? Thanks!

I changed a strobe on one a year or so ago but can't remember how I removed the cover. If you want to post a pic maybe that will help

The thing is you don't really need to remove the cover to change the strobe, but here's a couple pics.

Are you saying just remove that "foot" that appears to have wires going to it?
And the bulb is in there?
Or the other thing in the right lower corner (? looks like it's not that far from the motor to be in a corner but could just be perspective) that has wires running to it?

No. Just removing this plastic cover so I can refinish the top of the plinth.

Yeah now that you mention it I don't think I had to remove the cover to change the strobe. Sorry I couldn't be more help
