I know this is a few years old but the same thing happened to me two days ago. After recapping the amp and power supply, and re-installing the p800 board (the one that has that resistor on it) I screwed down the H801 transistor with its plastic bolt. Not really thinking about why it was a plastic bolt, I neglected to install the mica washer under the transistor and that caused R801 to heat up.

After putting it aside and thinking about it, I cleaned up my table and got organized to look under the board for any problem I caused during re-capping. What did I find on the table when I was moving the unit around? The insulating washer for that transistor! So make sure you put that insulator in and you'll be good to go.
