Use his 7c and 8b in a different manner not to over-tax them, but still be able to enjoy them?

The 7t and 15 work like new so I have been enjoying them to the fullest with my pair of newly restored AR-3as. Sounds amazing. The 7t with the 8b sound wonderful as well. I can't wait to get the 7c restored!

Same here.

Have my 7t/250M (sometimes 16b) playing in another room as I type. Will be in there after lunch.

7c/8b usually gets used on the weekends.

Life is good.
 
I have heeded everyone's advice and will not take a screwdriver to the 7c or 8b. Once I have the $ they're both going to a pro to be restored.

I would like to restore the 7t and 15 myself, however. At a minimum they are both in need of new caps and resistors. Does anyone have any experience restoring the 15? There is very little info out there. I understand there are 3 different variations of the 15, but I have found only one schematic that shows different cap and resistor values than the variation I have. I would also test the relays, inputs, and DC offset. Any other suggestions?
 
My 8b is all factory original- I will not TOUCH anything in it nor do I run it without a variac at 117V. I run it once every month to get the led out, that's about it. To me the value goes down as soon as you start ripping out the guts to replace components- if something goes bad that's one thing but just to do it for the sake of doing it doesn't fly with me and this amp.

The 7c, 7t, 8b, and 15 are all factory original. I would eventually like to get the 7c and 8b restored, which is how this thread was started. These were built 21 years before I was born so I do not know how they originally sounded, but it would be great to get them back to that condition without making detrimental changes to the value. I am holding off on having anything done on the 7c and 8b for now. Instead, I would like to get the 7t and 15 restored now so that I can enjoy them with my newly restored AR-3as.
 
Audio classics is another place to check out for a restore. They can a replace your RCAs if you want but it will be far from original why it's done. As I recall the originals are riveted in. There is some reworking to get new ones in. They use a prefabricated plate to hold new ones. My Model 7 had already seen work so a retrofit for the RCAs wasn't a concern.
