Mc interconnects coming soon

I just heard from my McIntosh guy that they are going into the "wire" and Interconnect category soon!

This is great news to buy what the factory endorses for purchase, without all the marketing crap. ($$)

If you read Roger Russell's threatise on ICs and speaker cables and McIntosh adheres to that, then they will be about $2/ft and most of that expense will go into the labelling. Wonder whose stuff they will be rebranding?

Roger Russell's technical paper on speaker cables will now be put on the same shelf as the earth being the center of the universe. But I guess if there is money to be made.........

New Mcintosh amps will come with weird, unique speaker connectors to match the mating weird, unique connector on the end of the cable. There will also be a $200 adapter to mate the weird, unique cable connector to the standard screw terminals on existing amps. :D

No, the terminals will be on front so that people can see you have McIntosh cables.

Weren't cables by Tributaries once recommended by McIntosh?

just think , with mac IC's and speaker wires you could have an ALL Mcintosh system, wonder how many other companies could say that?

It would be interesting if Mc really does come out with it's own cables. :scratch2:

Bryston is one company that does have it's own cables....

Just got finished rebuilding Mac's second headphone amp......as part of a C32 refurb. I believe a C28 had a 4 watter.

$2/ft would be very cheap in high end audio world would it not ?
did you mean $20/ft ? That would equate to about $120 for a pair of 3 ft ic's.
With price of copper and other materials it's what i would expect from them.

You obviously do not know Roger Russell's (one of the more well-known McIntosh audio engineers of old) opinion of high-end cables. He thinks lamp-cord is about as good as it gets. However, your guess of $20 is like missing a zero if it has the McIntosh name on it.
