MC7150 Meter Plastic

By any chance does anyone have a meter or meter plastic for a MC7150 they would be willing to part with? NLA out of McIntosh.

Modutec made at least some of the meters for classic McIntosh. I've had good luck in the past searching through auction sites to find a meter with the same cover to use as a donor.

If the meter scale is toast, I'd say unobtanium. Finding a NOS or used movement that exactly matches Mc specs is close to that.

Might be a Jewell meter movement, or some other.....but older models didn't use a custom cover for the meters.

I think that you can find a complete meter (new) made by SIFAM they will probably have in stock the right rectangular dimension

Mc Intosh Lab do not manufacture them , they are coming from a manufacturer

The back of the meter indeed says "Modutec" and shows, what I assume is a part number below it. The number is 922116. I have emailed and left a voicemail for Jewell instruments, who apparently owns Modutec. Hopefully somebody will get back to me. Not going to hold my breath though.

Well that turned out to be an exercise in futility. Modutec indeed made the meter. Modutec is now part of Jewell Instruments. I admit I'm a bit surprised she returned my call but the customer service gal I left a message with called me back and said that all their meters they sold to McIntosh cannot be sold to anyone else. I explained that McIntosh doesn't do anything with these anymore so I can't get a new meter from them. Doesn't matter. If it was originally sold to McIntosh, they are the only ones that have any relationship with Jewell. They won't even offer repair or the option to purchase a new lens.
