McIntosh 1900 Volume Control / On-Off Switch Replacement

Figured it all out through trial and error. All lug 3 grounds connect to one another.

Well mine (original) works pretty well but not perfectly, so I guess that's as good as it gonna be. I will continue to use a power strip to switch the 1900 on and off to avoid rotating the volume control every time I switch on and off and so delay wear.

I was going to build a remote on/off switch to save the 1900 on/off/volume control from more wear. Decided to go this route instead. Beklin WIFI switch will let me turn off the 1900 plugged into it using the WEMO app. In fact i can turn it on or off from almost anywhere in the world

Very common. All MAC 1900 volume pots eventually stop tracking or fail completely. I have a workaround as there is no replacement part.
