mcintosh book ?

Ron-C, any progress with the book? Getting it out before X-mas would be very nice! ;)

Looks like CES in Vegas first week of january. Don't worry we will print lots...

Thanks,
Ron-C

Is AK going to do anything related to sales to the group? If so I'll go through here or else will be going to the local Mc dealer to order. Maybe Ron-C could do a book autographing for the AK version if there is a program.

Yes! A special AK signed edition would be great.

How about selling a special signed edition threw AK with a small amount donated to AK for each book purchased. Talk about some good publicity. :)

Sounds awesome! How about the AK edition has a page with all the AK McIntosh members on it? How cool would it be to have your name on the same page with Masterlu? ;)

As long as we do not have photos or lists of equipment owned. If we do the book will 2x as thick just by way of Masterlu's contribution.

Bwaaa...signed by Ron-C. LOL.
The book will be sold through dealers or the usual suspects like Amazon, etc.

Thanks,
Ron-C

Aw.., you are taking all the fun out of life. I was going to even suggest a nice soft leather cover with the color or the famous Mc lighting and maybe gold guilded edges.

No offense Ron, a signed Ron C. book would be cool but I was thinking more along the lines of Charlie Randall or Sidney Corderman. :)

Someone from outside had to do the book. We are all to close to the subject to be balanced. No one book can cover the companies history but KK managed to keep it interesting and a reasonable size, 300 something big pages. The problem was just way to much stuff to sift through, especially photos.

Thanks,
Ron-C

What about volume 2 for all the extra pictures, better yet how about making it into a Time Life series with a new volume every month. :D

If it's anything like the Quad book that Ken Kessler did, this should be pretty good.

Since it sounds like there were a lot of photos and other materials that didn't make the cut, it would be great if the book included a CD-ROM with PDF files of vintage brochures, print advertisements, product reviews, etc.

Perhaps Kessler can next turn his attention to Marantz.

Seems like the book will be out on 7 Jan 07 but in the US I guess. Ron, any idea when it will arrive in Hong Kong? Can't wait...................!

 finally the long awaited book is about to see the light of day.thanks for the update ron.now to see if my local dealer will have them in stock or if i have to order one in.

Hi Ron,

I 've been contacting out local dealer in Hong Kong since end Jan but they keep saying they do not know when it will arrive and I cannot place a pre-order. I visited them yesterday and they said the same thing.

Is it possible that I order the book thru McIntosh directly in the US? If yes pls let me know the procedure.

Thanks very much.
