What he's failing to say or forgot about because it was a very long day. We used his amp a bit with the old mac tubes, listen to some of my amps at the same time to get a flavor of sound. I then pulled his kt88s and put in some gold lions I had in another amp, we instantly noticed better clarity and dynamic punch. The end result is I think he needs some new tubes as they are original to the amp.
