A story behind finding out that the arm is a Mission 774.
Anyone recognize the tonearm on this BL-91?
You really narrowed the audience mentioning just the table in the title when what you had was an identify the tonearm game. Folks here like games but your title didn't suggest that. Otherwise you would have had an answer a couple days ago.

Thanks for the reply, the table and arm in question are not mine, something I was considering.

Game??? No

Searching the arm, one sold in the not too distant past on CAM for 5+ CAD so you can put a value on it. I would think it would be worth at least 300-400 US just because it is a decent arm. That leaves a lot on the table for the rest of that rig. Probably worth sending an email to find out what the cartridge is and a better price. I mean for a grand you can get some damn fine used tables to slap an arm on. But this is AK, Go for it, but negotiate the price down a bunch unless that is one heck of a cartridge. I'm a firm believer in the music starts at the cartridge, get a very good one.

I believe the cartridge is a Mission 773 (HO Moving Coil). It has the red stripe on top just like the last 2 sales on ebay that were in the $190 range, but from the UK. There's one active listing at $799. I have no idea if that's a good cartridge.

Having a Mission Cartridge should have tipped me off to look at Mission Arms.
Recent 774 arm sales: one sold for $312, and then another lot of 2 sold for $433, so you're on the money there.

Having the arm already mounted is worth something, assuming it was done right. But, I'm out of my league with assessing that.

The only BL-91 that I found sold went for $960 with no arm.

So I'm thinking tops for this would be:
BL-91: $1000
Mission 774 Arm: $400
Mission 773 Cart: $200

thanks again

The 774 is a decent arm but i'd put it in the same class as the Linn Basik, nothing particularly special but decent budget tonearms, they regularly sell for 150 here in the UK. IMO The turntable mentioned by the op deserves a much better arm.
