Micro Seiki DQX-1000 Quartz Lock(QL) problem. Help needed.

The QL in my DQX-1000 is spinning the TT at 40 rpm. It's been working fine for well over 30 years since I first owned it. Months ago, the problem started but quickly returned to normal for weeks/months after one day. Now it's here to stay. I tried to locate the schematic for the QL circuitry, but to no avail. Advice appreciated for:
1. schematic
2. how to fix the issue
