Dang...someone wants those pretty bad. It is neat finding vintage gear that is brand new and pristine like that though.

I'd love to bid on that, but 150 dollars (shipping) for a pair of those is just un-Realistic (I bet that joke has been beaten to death)

Pretty cool none-the-less :)

I bought four NIB M7s a year ago for $10 each at an estate sale of a guy who built custom speakers as a hobby. Still have all four, unopened, as I already have and use about three other pairs in the house. Probably give one pair to my BIL for Christmas year.

What's so special about M7s? They are (almost) universally recognized as just good sounding, durable little speakers, and usually a very good value.

I saw another auction a couple of items down that was for a pair of speakers in boxes that had never been opened.

I resisted the urge to ask how he got the photos.

Just my opinion, but I think the good value part of your statement is true(especially since you used the word usually), but because so many people are touting them lately the prices have gone beyond good value. They're great little speakers if you find them for $10 at a thrift, but I have no idea why anybody would pay $100+ for them. They don't sound that good.

Scored a pair for $3 at a local thrift shop. They were fairly rough cosmetically, and one tweeter was blown. Just installed a replacement tweeter and hooked 'em up to a like-vintage teeny little RS integrated. Source is the mp3 player on my DroidX. They sound pretty darned good. I'm thinking a quick scrub and a coat of paint, and maybe some better crossovers, and I've got my bedroom speakers. :)
