I'm a newbie on this forum. I've read a couple of threads discussing the Mission 700 Mk II speakers - but those threads were from quite a while back. And they were rather tech heavy.
I know these were designed as a bookshelf speaker. Mid-1980s - which is when I bought them. I was using them for many years as a secondary set on top of my main speakers - to provide more top and middle. They added a brightness that I liked.
One of the speakers has got bad buzzing. The other is fine. Taken them to a highly-respected repairer. He thinks he can restore them (not with original parts - those are not available). But he's confident they will be "as new". Cost $80
Speakers are subjective of course. If I can get my Missions working again for $80 - does that sound worthwhile?
