Mission 707 crossover rebuild.

This is my first post, I'm fairly new to the hobby and am wanting to rebuild a set of mission 707 speakers. Picked them up for $10, they need foam on both woofers and I'd like to rebuild the crossovers. Figured this would be a good speaker to start with. Where do I start?

I'd measure the inner and outer diameter of the surrounds, and email the measurements to midwest speakers to get some replacement surrounds. As for crossovers, I usually only replace electrolytic caps. Read the values off them, you can go higher on the voltage. If I can't find exact capacitance, then I run two capacitors in parallel that add up to original value.

I used a model '8-inch JBL Thick foam edge' replacement surround on my mission 707, as most other foam surround fit over the speaker cone rather under it . but need to trim off abit of the outer diameter.

Hi Jason. Where did you get your capacitor from and which brand did you use on your 707 and what value?

That's good to know, since I am always on the look out for Mission speakers. I used a JBL 8" surround when I did a pair of AR94S.
