Hi NAD80Lamar, Welcome to AK. Have Mission 737R's. Had to recap mine. Boza replaced the original cap with a much better Film cap.
Hi NAD80! I am sorry I thought you had the 770....how do you like 737?Lamar, Welcome to AK. Have Mission 737R's. Had to recap mine. Boza replaced the original cap with a much better Film cap.
Great great deal....Like them. Found them at SA for 15 each. But basically the crossovers in the 2 way missions are the same, just different cap values depending on the frequency of the crossover.
I did replace caps in 707, 4.7ufI have 707 too...love them....50.00 is quite the steal......question....my 770 still sound ok but I noticed the brown "container" that hods the film cap is glued down...I saw a picture in this thread that showed the before and after of the 770 ('81 year I think, like mine) and in the BEFORE it showed the brown "container" and in the AFTER it showed the round blue capacitor...was the blue one a polypropylene? I still don't know what my values are
I sent a note to Boza on which brand he used for cap for his 770Lamar you would have to remove the "brown" on the cap. Read the value of the cap. Just replace it with the same value (mfd) and anything over 100vdc should be ok. My 737R's had electrolytic caps in them.

I had asked Boza which cap he used but can't remember which thread it was back in 18.
I used wilmslow audio supersound cap's.
They sound a lot smoother but very open with a very large soundstage depending on the amp.
