Neither did I! This is what my pulley looks like. I'm in Canada, which is where it says the turntable was made on the back, so it obviously has to be 60hz... Maybe I just need a new belt?

Same issue as the OP. It tends to play all records a tad fast at 33rpm... 45 seems a little more accurate though I haven't compared the sound as much as I have with 33. At first I was hoping my solution was the same, but since it's not a Hz related problem I'm not sure what it could be other than the belt...

You could try dusting the belt with talc. I tried it with mine once but felt the sound had lost some of its drive. Maybe it was just slower....dunno. I don't have perfect pitch hearing so speed accuracy isn't a big deal for me. W&F is, but this table is pretty stable in that regard.

Woah, it's late and I'm putting the kids to bed. Decided to check on some old threads and sure enough, I'd completely missed these. The new belt was sourced from LP gear and solved my speed issue 100%. This is a very quiet and VERY speed stable setup. Me being me, as soon as the issue was solved I bought another td124mk2 with more issues than a rebound relationship and shelved the 775.

For anyone dealing with a fast-running belt drive table: I finally tried Teflon (plumber’s) tape around the subplatter, on my fast-running Mission 775S. I had resisted, because I recalled trying it on an old belt drive table years ago (Thorens TD160 probably?) and remembered that it made the wow and flutter spec much worse.
But the W&F spec has remained the same excellent 0.05% on the Mission, after about 5 windings, bringing the speed dead-on at 33.33RPM.
It’s a bit fiddly to put on, so that it remains clean and perfectly flat, but it really isn’t difficult.
A very satisfying and effective $0.10 fix.
