MLB 2026

Don't you think it's ironic that last year these same two teams met in the NLCS and the Dodgers swept the Brewers 4-0 in the best of 7 series.

Now here we are one year later and the same two teams are once again matched up in the NLCS except this time the shoe's on the other foot. The Brewers have a chance tonight to complete the sweep of the Dodgers for the ultimate payback.

Pay back can be a bitch , Cheese heads forever! GO BREWERS!!!!!

Well the Brew Crew completed the revenge sweep of the Dodgers. JoJo Romero gets the win again for the 2nd day in a row. Pretty-awesome.

Kyle Tucker could not bring home runner at 3rd with less than two outs in the 8th to tie the score. We are stuck with Tucker for three more years.

In the same inning, Teo Hernandez struck out right after Tucker.

I don't think that it's possible to pin the problems that the Dodgers had on one or two individuals. In that game being discussed, I seem to recall they stranded runners on third where there were less than two outs three innings in a row.

The Brewers are playing well at this point in the WS. I was thinking that a 4 run first inning by the Rays yesterday was going to be difficult to overcome, but they managed to do it.

It's been 44 years since the Brewers were in a WS, so this isn't a common occurrence. We have to appreciate it while we can. I don't generally watch the pregame shows, but I hope that Paul Molitor and Robin Yount (along with a few others) get a chance to to appear during the series.

The Brewers played better than the Dodgers did all year. That's why they had the best record in the National League.

As a matter of fact, the two teams with the two best records in each of their respective leagues are facing off in this year's World Series.

When it's all said and done, the Rays & the Brewers are the two best teams in baseball for 2026.

I was thinking about this- and I'm now reading, how people are starting to refer to this as the "Moneyball World Series", in a way. Both teams are in the BOTTOM half of spending, in their respective leagues, and both teams not only beat, but SWEPT one each, of the three MOST HEAVILY FUNDED teams in the league.

Sometimes good management and cohesion can beat deep pockets. It's refreshing to see that this still works in this day and age, where at least some rich people believe they should be able to buy whatever they like, and have things go their way just because they have and/or spent all the money. Sometimes other people are just smarter, plan better, and execute better than the richest people. Nothing about merely having money, makes you infallible. That's a bitter lesson sometimes, but it needs to be demonstrated. Kudos to both teams for giving us an undeniable example!

Regards,
Gordon.

It's like my team the Cardinals who were at the lower end of the team payrolls this season. We dominated the Dodgers, Yankees, Braves and held our own against a lot of the other top payroll teams but there were three teams that just flat-out owned the Cards this season and they were the Brewers, Mariners, and the Diamondbacks. There were a few others too like the Red Sox who got the best of the Cards but other than that, the Cards lost the most of their games to lower-tier teams.

I don't think so. If you look at the past several years the results have been pretty-consistent at least as far as the Cards vs Dodgers are concerned.

The Cards used to own the Brewers but that has changed. Next year will be real interesting. The Cards are young and upcoming with one of the best farm systems and are poised to be a lot better while some of the aging teams are only going to get worse. They will be forced to spend even more money.
