modified magnavox mutt tube amp

One thing I always wanted to try with my own Magnavox 9300 is implementing a Blumlein garter circuit for bias on the output tubes instead of the 2 tubes per cathode resistor setup it currently has. Not sure what it might do sonically, but it seems that it would bias the tubes more evenly and make matching them somewhat less important. Might be worth a go if you're already planning to play around with the bias circuitry.

I just spent a few hours listening to this amp. I ran it with my dynaco pas3x. Pink floyds dark side of the moon was very detailed and dynamic. The bass was very good too. This is a maggie no more.

Thanks again!

Of Course, where are my manners.............

as requested.

She still needs a face lift and a base, but here she is right out of surgery.

Oh one thing. In regards to the coupling caps. I changed the "bottom" cap to a .47 - I didn't have a .22 or .33. Any problems with that?
