Here is my Music Hall MMF-5.1 with a Pro-ject 9 tonearm and a Goldring 1012GX cartridge. I bought this last fall to replace my 33 year old Dual 1249 which has recently been reconditioned. I still use the Dual and have a new Grado Prestige Blue cartridge on it.

My lowly B&O TX

Paid $770.62 with an MMC-2 on 1-4-84, still have the receipt! It was more than I could afford then (I was 24). In spite of some B&O bad-mouthing on the forums, mine has never given me a problem. I won't post any specs to bore everyone to death, it is what it is and suits me well!

I'd kinda' like one of these:

It's a VPI HRX.

Here is where it all began for me folks.
Vintage Fisher Price Turntable Model 825
Built in speaker and carrying case! One 2 inch speaker, I think...
As a child of the 80's playing with my sisters hand-me-down toys, I was the only six year that knew all the lyrics to the theme song from greatest american hero and the power of love by huey lewis and the news. (only two 45's i was "allowed " to listen to)

Monaco Grand Prix & Dynavector

The best sounding table I've ever heard was a Monaco Grand Prix. I only got to hear it for a little while, but Allison Kraus never sounded closer. Right in front of me close. Compared to some of these other high end tables, I like the relative simplicity of the Monaco. The one I heard had a Dynavector arm and cartridge (don't remember the model number). The rest of the system was Zarsteel and Evolution Acoustic. The sound It was pretty stunning.

Thanks, Seth!!

How did miss this one too?

My entry is a Dual 1224, not as "Hi-Fi" as some of the other tables listed here but it holds a special place for me. My dad had one when I was a kid d it is the table I always think of when I think of listening to Vinyl with him growing up and then on returns to the states after various deployments to Iraq ect.

Here's my Dual 1257 I just got the other day at a senior center sale for 50 cents - all it needed was a good cleaning and some new RCA leads and, once set up, plays wonderfully - came with Grado Black cartridge in great condition.
Belt drive 2-speed automatic

Also had original dust cover, UNCRACKED!

Pro-Ject Xpression III with the Ortofon 2M Red.

Good starter table with the ability to make adjustments.

And it just looks cool for your basic table. See my Avatar:thmbsp:

Rega P3, simple, elegent (lotsa colours so high WAF) sound great and infinitely upgradeable (if that is indeed a word)

Heres mine:

CIMG1022.jpg

A Technics SL-1300MK2 that I got up and running. The cueing doesnt work which is classic for these tables. But works great as a manual table and I love the pitch changes :D

My Pride and Joy. I picked this baby up from an old Indian (American Indian) guy in Kentucky. He nearly brought a tear to my eye as he described how, as a younger man, he worked hard to save the money to buy the TT and would listen to it every chance he got. All he asked was that I gave it a good home, a promise which I am glad to keep

Some nice tables on here.....

The one I am posting.....not so much....Sansui SR-232. My current and first table. I admire it because it is the table currently showing that vinyl is the best format ever to have existed. I just bought some of these MOFI sleeves but am going through them quick as a get clean and listen to a new LP. Could always use more. Thanks to AK for being here. Later mans....and....WOmans.

i like the old sansui's. i have a 222, but love the SR-222MKV. sleak and simple. no dials, no lights, just pure music. gotta love 'em.

gotta love this thread for the stories and pics of what people perceive as beauty. some like fancy, some like complex, some like simple, but one this is common, the love of vinyl.

Mine is a Kenwood KD500 with a Grace 707 tonearm and a Denon moving coil cartridge. It has a antistatic mat and a record clamp. It's a good TT.
