Mono cart Installation

Hi to all
I receive finally my mono cart.
It will be installed in my first tonearm but I will need a new CW and this time it will be a off center one. So I order. 4 jaw chuck and we are ready to start.

the grado cart have a new feature and is a kind of bakelite sleeve to screw and clamp it. Probably no shims to decouple will be needed. Hardware included with the cart.

I used a new blank due the eccentricity.


CW hub with decoupling rings.

The shims is an old shop technic for center finder.



Final product.



Now install the cart and alignment.

is very primitive arm, but adjusting it good sound beautiful!
stay tune, I install the cart and soon I will align everything. Some mono sound this evening for sure!!

First play an album that has some groove noise. You'll hear the difference right away!

Round after midnight. Using a D1200 was not a good idea!
