I wonder what albums are there on the bottom shelve?

Dean Martin & Sammy Davis Jr? Count Basie??

Very interesting because it begs the question of who he REALLY liked and was in his collection, vice being polite and saying he liked most of the top performers of that era. He was the greatest male pop singer of all time. Would be nice to see what albums he actually spun.

ditto !

I think the radio tuner with what looks like an s meter (although it could be VU meter for presumably the disc cutter above it ) may have some other than broadcast AM /FM broadcast bands ,or maybe just a multi band ready made dial face ?

Maybe AM/FM + Short wave broad bands and or also long wave police they had back then just above the AM broadcast band when you consider the alleged company he may have had around (or not ) :nono:

Lets not go overboard here...

I'm going to post some of them here just so that we have an archive of them:

His disc lathe and cutting electronics were Rek-O-Kut. And these are acetate or lacquer discs, not vinyl. Usually then, Presto Discs, AudioDiscs, or SoundCraft were common brands then.

I'd really like to see the amps he used in that system and the famous 3 channel system he had in the living room.

"Presto 825 3-track between the left and center speaker. Fisher R200 tuner and McIntosh C22 preamp to the right of the center speaker." Steve Hoffman

Sorry, you pic did not come through, although I recall there was another thread about it around AK as well.

Here's one from a different angle. I can't see the actual amps in this pic or the smaller one in the Life article, nothing in the lower right side. I'm assuming there are Amps inside the cabinets to run the three speakers here.
