No, the OP (me) can't compare the Plus P55 to the Hafler DH-220 becuase it's long gone and I've only had the Sanyo for maybe 1 1/2 years.

But for all intents and purposes, the scrutiny has ended. I am going to mate the Sanyo with a (ironically) Hafler DH-101 and setup another system with turntable and speakers....somewhere. At least if it's hooked up and useable, not sitting idle on a shelf, the criticism of having unused gear should end.

Justification: The cost to buy was only $10 and not one dime spent on it afterwards so it's not as if there's a bunch of money tied up in something taking up space doing nothing.

I have admitted to having a weakness just as others do for baseball cards or stamps. The only difference is the items that interst me are larger and heavier.

But I've made it clear that since there is nowhere near the same opportunites of finding gear in the wild here, where I now live, so the chances of me getting more goodies is substantially reduced. Therefore, I wish to hang on to those pieces that are scarcely seen like that Sanyo power amp. I am playing the rare card not the value or cost card.

As far as finding gear in the wild... that is what the interweb is for, whatever your looking for can be found for the most part .
