...I walked out and, in the doorway, said "Wait! Let's try something with Donna Reed, with her permanent Toni hairdo, and have her walking out of a tidal wave situation.

Neil gave me this blank look and said, "Get out of here."

The following day, he asked me to consider doing just that because he'd discussed it with the band, and they'd all thought it was more likely for a cover than the serious approach.

"Moving" on...

Rush's "Moving Pictures" desktop version...

A kind of goofy multi-layered pun. Note people being "moved" by the "moving pictures".

Of course the concept in the actual music is a little deeper. It's more on pictures of humanity moving through time...how history repeats thru the consistancy of human nature. (Like, "Today's Tom Sawyer..." and "Witch Hunt".)

OK, that was a whole lot more philosophical than most of what we have here. Hope I didn't bore people to tears with it, I just found it interesting. Then again, I'm pretty much a nerd. :nerd:

Jesse Winchester's album on Ampex Records a gatefold with four identical portraits on each side. Jesse fled to Canada to avoid prosecution for wasting cardboard...or something like that.

i was looking through my vinyl again thinking how much i miss album covers.there are so many creative covers out there.whats some of the best? two that i have that come to mind are "schools out"that fold out desk was too cool.next might be "thick as a brick"that news paper album gave me hours of fun.

Mine still has the panties; they're blue. I don't have the report card anymore, though. Cooper has some great stuff. Elton John's Captain Fantastic had great artwork as well.
