Most overrated band?

Not trying to start any arguments - I really am curious: who do you think is most overrated? I gotta go with Cold Play. I just don't get the appeal: pretentious, whiny, most of it sounds the same but a lot of critical acclaim. What am I missing?

Here's one (and I'm not kidding) that could fan some flames: KISS.

My mom was a huge Kiss fan. They've never done anything for me. Maybe I haven't heard their 'good' songs, but I look at them, and the fascination, and I just don't get it. Maybe it's cuz I'm younger and they were past their prime before I was 'musically aware'.
 
Guns n Roses. Axl has the worst voice, attitude, etc of all time. Good riddance that he isn't around to speak of.
 
sorry , but i do not agree with boston , at least not with their studio albums , i thought they were fresh and innovative with their music , i have never heard them live but i still very much enjoy their first two albums . i would vote for the stones as overrated , " the greatest rock-n-roll band ever " i don`t think so .

Theres a bunch of bands that I like but find that all their songs sound so similar that they get boring quick. Kiss is one of those (though I love a handful of their songs) as well as Green Day (ditto).

I'm afraid to say that for me, even The Stones and The Who fall into that to some extent. They had their periods where alot of material sounded similar. I guess it happens mostly to bands that stick around for a long time.
 
Hootie and the Blowfish. One hit, and every other song sounds the same. The lead singer's voice/sound/presentation is just too distinctive.I just don't get the attraction.
 
Pretty much anything on a Clearchannel playlist.

I used to like a lot of the music on said playlist(s). Now it's like thumping a sore tooth.

Thank goodness for satellite, or my own media.
