Not sure if this information is available or not. Does anyone know which specific speakers are the most popular here on AK? ( Brand, model.) Just curious.

In the vintage realm, I'd put ADS (L710) and KEF (104/2) somewhere near the top. I base my opinion of the fact that both makes have fairly long threads (covering all models), and the models mentioned are in the middle of the pack, for size and price, and would garner at least an acceptable WAF. ;)

I've gone to shows and demonstrations and heard megabuck speakers from B&W, Focal, Magico, Sonus Faber, Wilson, and the other usual exotic suspects.

They were all excellent, but I am perfectly happy with Klipsch Cornwall IVs at a fraction of the price.
I like JBLs as well. No problem at all staying in four figures a pair with either of those brands.

Right now, we've got one pair of Cornwalls on our AV setup and another with our straight vinyl LP system.
Not a lot of folks talking about them here, so they must not be a favorite, but I can't find them lacking in anything.
And they're real easy for almost any decent amplifier to drive.

They sound like live music to me, but many aficionados would rather be in the studio during mixing and prefer that sound..

From the home page if you page down to AK Manufacturer Forums, towards the bottom there are three speaker forums of their own.

There's a reason for that.

Infinity
Klipsch
The Lansing Legacy

The ones they have. I am sure Bose are the most popular selling. I am just curious on this site which are the most popular.
I remember when the 901s first came out decades ago.
People raved about them, leaving me incredulous.

Critics, however, began the now legendary phrase:

No highs. No lows. Must be Bose.

I remember being a kid in Boston during the 1960s.
AR, KLH, Advent....that was the "Boston sound."

But even as a Bostonian, I liked Altec, Electro-Voice, JBL, and Klipsch...oversized boxes with horns!
To me, the acoustic suspension models sounded like the speakers were locked in a closet.

Audio, High Fidelity, and Stereo Review raved about them, however.

I think ADS are popular too. It’s funny, my ADS are my favorite, but my KEFs sound better. There is just something about those ADS. So I will post
ADS l710s

Second (or third) on the ADS. I have a few and my ADS L810s will stay forever.
Although I did pick up some little KEF Q350s and they are awesome.

Not sure how to find out the “ Most Popular. “ If we did it that way, it would be “most beloved”. Maybe we would have to list the all the speakers we own and use.
Ads 810, 710, 520, 300
Kef 105.1
Dynaco A25
I’m just curious to see which speakers most people use on this site.
