Movies you have seen, but regretted

"Death in Venice" is not obscure; it is something of a film standard, based on Thomas Mann's novel...also, good use of Mahler's music.

It's slow, but moody and rewarding. Good performance by Dirk Bogarde. Sorry it didn't grab you.

The Aristocrats

a few of my writing and improv teachers reccomended this movie to me,I had no idea what it was about but they said it was funny so I drag my Mom who was in her mid 80's @ the time and god almighty help me. This movie is about the dirtiest joke in the history of comedy and the language even made me wince. Funny yeah but the thing I got out of it was they were interviewing comedians and some of them I thought had passed away(Larry Storch,Carl Balentine). My Mom didn't talk to me for 3 weeks.:tears:
 
my most recent regret was League of Extraordinary Gentlemen-- someone up above brought up Cabin Boy- one of THE most awful movies of all time, however, i no longer regret having seen it because there is a certain ironic cachet in saying you have....

The League of Extraordinary Gentleman could have been a great movie...what a crumby film for sure...
Another stink pile was Hot Fuzz.... too bad because the same filemakers did Shawn of the Dead which was hillarious!!

“All about Steve” - Generally I like Sandra Bullock but this movie was kind of a waste. The last 20 minutes, with the collapsed mine scene was just plain stupid.

Her other recent movie “The proposal “was only marginally better.

She can do much better than these two steaming piles of crap.

Hot Fuzz? If so, I liked it nearly as much as Shawn of the Dead. Both were very entertaining.

For a true stinker, Kung Pow was gawd awful - a parody on Chinese martial arts movies.

:scratch2:...I kinda like it. Although in all honesty, I can't say its a good movie, or parody. Lots of stupid in that movie, but some funny bits. I may just have a lack of sophistication :dunno:. I think everyone will agree, that "kung pow" was exactly what it set out to be. My opinion may also be based on the fact that I picked it up for $1 at goodwill, because there was no way i'm paying dvd prices for it.

(sad thing is, I remember seeing it in theaters as well:sigh:)
