Mr Lin

I just got some new speakers (vintage Lentek, very large), but unfortunately I've had little time to audition music through them just yet. However, from what I have heard, the 326 doesn't seem to be losing its breath at all driving these things. They're floorstanders, un-ported, transmission line technology (they're British). So soon I'll hook up the Naim CD player and see what happens.

Congratulations!! Please let us know your impressions on these speakers. Is this the model you bought ?

I think so, although the bass woofer on mine is on the opposite side. The exact model isn't specified, it just says Lentek and a serial number on the back.

The guy I bought them from, who's originally from London (and I've known for a long time), now uses Vandersteen Model 3's, and BAT gear. When he and I auditioned the Lenteks side by side with the Vandersteens, Frank (the friend/seller) claimed he heard only subtle differences between the Lenteks and the Model 3's. I could hear substantially more refinement and power in the bass of the Vandersteens, among other things, but the Lentek speakers did hold their own rather well.

I was able to listen a little more and I have praise and a little criticism of these speakers, but generally I'm very happy with them. They have a big, powerful sound which is a nice change for someone with 500 pairs of bookshelf speakers :D (not really, but you get my point).

Great, please keep us updated on your views on those speakers. I've had positive experiences with British transmission line designs of the 70's and 80's.
