The band plays instrumental surf rock that channels the classic 1960s sound with a distinct French flair.

Bert Susanka was an American singer, songwriter, and rhythm guitarist best known as the frontman of the Huntington Beach/Long Beach-based "cowpunksurfabilly" band The Ziggens. Susanka passed away on August 17, 2024, at the age of 62 following a courageous battle with ALS.

De Surfures is an instrumental surf rock band from Castro del Río, Córdoba, in the Andalusia region of Spain. Formed in 2010 by siblings Sonia Hidalgo (drums) and Miguel Ángel Hidalgo (guitar), the group started out playing covers of classic Californian and international surf instrumental standards. They expanded into writing their own original material starting around late 2012 after adding bassist Manuel Elías. They are known for punchy modern reverb-drenched guitar instrumentals that mix traditional 1960s surf rhythms with raw grit, rockabilly hints, and cinematic flair.
