My $5.00 yardsale speaker find

found these at a yard sale $5.00 for the pair homemade boxes. when i opened them here is what i found Jensen special design 12" woofer a Utah tweeter unfortunately one of the tweeters is open. can this tweeter be fixed.

Don't know if they can be fixed but you can probably pick up replacements fairly easy and cheap.

Cool find...and cheap. I don't think I've ever seen ceiling tile used as filler.

You may get lucky and the open connection is between the terminals and windings. Nice find!

Indeed, Fender guitar amps of the 60's would have used similar, if not those very same speakers. It appears those are Jensen C12Q's. Getting a pair of them for $5, let alone the other drivers, is a HUGE bargain!

Hopefully there's no asbestos in those ceiling tiles...
