I've got my HPM-100's setup in my listening room.
Your succinctness is appreciated, Sam, and the photos are nice, but they raise more questions than they answer:

  1. Are both pairs hooked up?
  2. Are they both hooked up to the same amp?
  3. Do they sound any good?
  4. Are the stands original?
  5. What is that remote control doing in your lap?
  6. Are the speaker wires thick enough?
  7. Isn't that listening position a little close to the speakers?
  8. And most importantly, what are you doing wearing shorts in the middle of the winter?:D

    Did I miss anything?
Inquiring minds want to know! :tresbon:

I like the high end sound dampening socks that you're wearing! :thmbsp: :D

LOL NN! I'll answer in order...

1. Not at this time.
2. I've been swapping receivers and haven't gotten around to hooking up the other pair. Yes, they are usually hooked up to the same amp.
3. No, the stands are not original. They match very nicely and are period correct.
4. Yes, they sound fine. I "tuned" them while A/B-ing with JBL L-112's. I plugged the port hole and set the mid to PLUS 2.
5. The remote is for a Luxman R-117, which has plenty of power to drive two pairs.
6. No, those wires are NOT think enough. I have some Monster cable somewhere and will correct that. (Nothing gets past you!)
7. Yes, the listening position is about 10 feet, which is not enough. My listening room is not big enough...
8. Dude, it's 65 degrees today!

Happy Listening, Sam.

:lmao:

Thanks, Sam, I feel more comfortable that I know your setup now that you shared some details.

Those stands look awesome, BTW! :thmbsp:

PS! 66F here today, too - a lot cooler than normal this time of year!

Stuffung the Port Holes

Sam:

I took your advice and stuffed the port holes on mine - definitely like the difference. Good call and Happy New Year!

BajaGringo: Good to get confirmation from a fellow HPM owner that plugging the ports works. Happy New Year to you as well.
