Not that I needed a new receiver, but I just couldnt say no to this one - in almost new shape, looks like was kept in good enviroment, seems to be never opened and works perfectly so far. I didnt have a chance test everything yet, but Phono and tuner work and I already can tell that this things sound nice and has lots of power - seems more than what it is rated at (85w per ch). And it's huge too - larger than any other receievr I have. From my research these are pretty rare, I think.
What do you guys think/know about these receivers?

Nothing special, just found it in local CL listings and went for it.

Got it hooked up to my system - it sounds sweet! Lots of clean beautiful sound. Same speakers that sounded good with other receiver, sound a lot better with this one. And I just love the looks of it.!
 
Nice receiver! I love the color and especially the polished edges on the switches and knobs.
Unfortunately I know nothing of Optonica aside from what I've read here. I've never seen one in the wild.
