my new listening setup

I have around 3K but they are 95% hits, as in songs that were big at some place in time, not obscure B sides or nothing, mostly songs that if you are at a party with 20 people of varying ages and you randomly play a song, someone will sing the lyrics to it, or dance to it ;) Tough for me to keep finding more to add. I'll be in a restaurant or a store and hear some song playing and be like Doh! give me a pen and a paper I gotta write that song down I don't think I have it. When people are over and request songs that too helps me add to them.

I didn't say you weren't, just describing why I am having a tough time adding more songs

Yea I know how that goes...I think I've gotten about everything I've heard back to the day I was born... even Bretha Butt!!!...

Doofus question here

I tried once to run through a receiver. Worked OK, except every time I clicked the mouse, there was a loud 'click' through the speaker systems. That didn't happen with the regular 'puter speakers.
Despite some advice, I couldn't figure out how to eliminate the click noise.
Well, anyway, I never seem to go anywhere there is music online, and I'm an old bear anyway.

I have 2 sounds cards in my computer bececause the repair place thought that the inbuilt one did not work with the new operating system so they put in another one. I use one for normal sounds and the other card is connected directly to my main system and is only for music (no clicking sounds trough the stereo).

bully, you need to go to control panel>sounds>Schemes>no sound. Or do it manually. because i listen to music through the headphones when im on here i had to set it like that so every time i click a webpage or something its not clickin in my ear all day.

Thanks, H. I may try a stereo again. Heck, I've got two 10-inch active subwoofers, several amps or receivers, and speaker systems out the wazzoo, should get some more up and working.
But, y'know, doin' email and checkin' in on AK & less often AA, etc., is about all I do.
I bought a cdburner 3 or 4 years ago, never figured out what to do with it. No files to back up, jeez. Yup, and my family are twitting me to get some broadband, so the phone won't be busy when they try to call me.
Like, I dunno.

Heck if the family wants to get broadband its the perfect opportunity. Lemme tell ya. once you go high speed you'll never go back. You might browse the internet more when you dont have to wait for pages to load etc. Ive had cable for about a year and half now and the last time i used a dial-up connection when i was on vacation it was a gruesome experience. Almost killed me lol.
