My New Swiss Army Knife

KingBubba

"Too Much Stuff"
I just ordered a new Swiss Army Knife on Ebay today. I already have the largest standard size Army Knife, but this is the full Handle size. This will be the first Swiss Army Knife that I have purchased in around 20 years and I'm kind of excited. I have always been a knife nut since, as a kid, my Dad would not even let me have a pocket knife. I had already collected at least 6 or 7 SAKs over the years, but this is the first large one that I will own.

BEC, your image did not complete. I have seen pics of the U.S. Army knife, but never seen one in the flesh.

one of my favorite things about them is the lifetime warranty, i bought this beauty for $1 CDN with a broken large blade (as in snapped off) and missing one scale. they sent it back polished with all parts replaced free of charge.

Been collecting those since I was a kid.
Prefer the Victorinox line (as shown above) vs the Wenger line.
They’re just cool.

That's a cool knife...enjoy !
I love all those swiss army knives. I must have at least a dozen, I got my first one when i was 12, and i still collect them at 62.

i have all them all around the house...kitchen, basement, garage, in the cars, on the bikes, my wifes purse. I even have the very small ones on every keychain...even my kids have them on their keychains now. It's a very handy thing to have ...all the time. And fun.

I did have one of the keychain knives taken from me when i went to a Providence College Friars basketball game....it never occured to me that it was a weapon..it's barely over an inch long blade. I told the guy " I can't hurt anybody with that !" and the young man said "I could" ...I guess he has better skills than me :)

My son almost had his taken away when he went to Fenway Park for a Sox game a few years ago...the woman looked at it, rolled her eyes, sighed , and returned it to him saying "Just don't stab anybody !".

I had a Victorinox SAK gifted to me this Christmas and I was surprised to see it was exactly like the one I carried in the mid 70's right down to the the toothpick and tweezers. So I gave my trusty Leatherman wingman a rest and I've been carrying the new SAK. But I don't know if it's going to make the grade. I was working on a project this morning and out of habit I reached in my pocket for the pliers on my leatherman which wasn't with me. No pliers in my pocket anymore is probably going to be the deal breaker for me to carry my new SAK

Take a look at the Victorinox made Swiss Tool, which is Victorinox's version of the Leatherman. It is far superior in every way, also, there are many of the Swiss Army Knives that have a pair of pliers in addition to the scissors. Very handy.
