My Pioneers...

jcnash

BUSTED!!
Hi all,

Finally had a chance to take some good quality pictures of my rig. Its coming along quite well..now that I have my new SA-8800 as the power amp and the SA-9800 as the pre-amp. I plan to switch them around after a while.

A BIG THANK YOU to MARKTHEFIXER without whose help my SA-9800 (which is the kingpin of my system) and my TX-6800 wouldn't be functional.

In the near future, I plan to have my parents SG-9800 equalizer, SR-303 reverberation amplifier and CT-F-900 Tape Deck shipped from their garage and have it fixed and cleaned.

But for now...im a satisfied pioneer fan. Here they are.

Nice setup :) Any chance you would post up a close up picture of the TX-6800. I just acquired my first flouroscan amp (SA-7800) and had no idea there was a similar tuner offered.

Fluroscan sure is purty!

Great looking setup! I've been on the lookout for a SA-9800 or 8800 to go with the rest of my fluroscan stuff.

Pretty similar to my bedroom system. I'm running a SA-6800, TX-6800 and CT-F900 in my bedroom system.

I see you run an SA-5800. Nice little integrated. I have one currently in storage. It has had all the electrolytics replaced in it because I found one of the big PS caps had leaked.

Are you shooting for the ultimate Fluoroscan collection?

I might go to separates after viewing that..

:yes: It is the way to go....specifically Pioneer seperates!

Pioneer florouscan.Quite possibly the best looking consumer grade gear out there.

Agreed! Even the modern day MacIntosh which I consider to be pretty good looking does not have the class and style of the silver Pioneer Fluoroscan gear.

Nice setup Bogframe. What speakers do you run with your amp?

Veeeerrrry nice!~ BTW what kind of rack system are you using? i think that's what i need.

I designed and made the rack myself. The stand is a 'lean back' design where the lowest shelf is much more 'in front' of the one above it and so on. its hard to tell from the front, but from the side, the components are gradually receding from bottom to top.

I also used the same colored varnish (or as close as I could get) on the wooden shelves as the wooden side panels of the Pioneer gear. Also each shelf was chosen based on its loading capacity. Each can handle the heaviest Pioneer gear without bending/warping.

Tripqzon,

The amps im running are the SA-9800 as the pre-amp and the SA-8800 as the power-amp. The tuner is the TX-6800, tape deck is CT-F850, Timers are DT-400 and DT-510, RG2 DRE and tuners at the top are TX-6500 and TX-5500.

I also have a Phillips DVD player that plays almost any format known to man including DivX, MP3, WMA, AUDIOCD, etc. Its my primary source for music. There is also a JVC VCR which I never use.

No problem.

Ill post one when i get back home today.

Thanks for the kind words everybody. It means a lot coming from a knowledgeable crowd like you guys and gals, whove seen/owned tons of other systems.

I have a special emotional attachment for the Fluoroscan stuff, especially that SA-9800 amp which used to fascinate me even as a kid.

Any suggestions on what other Fluoroscan gear I can add to my system, which will go well?

Thanks.

Oh, the bedroom system pictured isn't mine. It belongs to Bogframe, although ill gladly accept bragging rights without hesitation...haha.
