Ok, ok....was gonna wait 'til I was a little further along before I posted an update but here ya go. Got all the wall trim done and painted. Next is window trim and trim to cover the seams in the fabric.

With the weather in the 60's the next couple of weeks, you should make a lot of progress.

Won't be long before the countdown begins to the grand opening blowout!!!

I was thinking that a large, blown up picture (canvas?) of Bora Bora might look good on one of the walls....

@yzzaj

Wife has already adorned one wall of the back hall in the house with pictures from the Bora Bora trip...but I might take the one you picked and maybe a few others I'm fond of and find a spot for them in the temple. :idea:

Window trim and trim to cover the wall fabric seams finished. Next up is electrical, lighting and slats on the ceiling (which I'm not 100% sure I'm going to do). After that, it's installing all the wall slats for the binary amplitude grating (which is diffusion... sorta'). Those are final items standing in the way of "completion"...and none of it will go quickly.

What does the City of Arlington's electrical code say for how many electrical outlets, spaced how far apart, height, capacity, etc, for air conditioned living space?

Also, it appears (at least by the pics you show) that you haven't already run electrical wiring behind the fabric walls? I could be wrong...you may already have run it and have boxes mounted, ready to cut thru the fabric.

External conduit?

Of course, the "completion" concludes with your friendly city building inspector(s)....if he/she is an audiophile, then that should be a fun inspection.

Looks good.

:)

Edit: Just reviewed and saw your post several pages back. Answers my questions:

An electrician buddy is getting supplies together. He's hooked me up with a few spools of stranded 10g and I'll be running it through exposed conduit with all the outlets in wall mount boxes. I have a bunch of hospital grade outlets laying around, so I'll finally put those into service. It'll look a little industrial, but neat. Here's the panel....all but one breaker is available. Prior home owner put this panel in the detached garage (which the studio is butted up against) but never wired the garage except for one electrical outlet. All those breakers save one have never seen current. The 220 breaker will be for the mini split.

Lighting done and one more outlet to install then electrical is done. This was another big hurdle that I can now mark off the list. Whew!

Left and right track lights use smart bulbs that I can control (color and brightness) via the Hub Space app. Hanging track light with spot lights are wired to Lutron switch that includes a remote with dimming feature. Fan is also on a remote. All bulbs are LED so hopefully circuits will be quiet. One of the outlets on the front wall that my Furman power conditioner will plug into (and all electronics will plug into the Furman) has its own dedicated 20a circuit. All outlets are Hubbel hospital grade.

As a musician I’m always struck by how ceiling fans mess with the sound of instruments. I would assume it’s the same for speakers. Great for air circulation, bad for audio.

As a drummer (and being in Texas) I absolutely have to have a fan during the warm season (which is eight-nine months out of the year in my parts). No ifs ands or buts...my ass needs air circulation when I'm behind the kit woodshedding. Probably won't use it when I'm listening to the hifi rig.

Now it's feeling like something is happening in here. Got the stepped diffuser hung...another milestone reached. That stain color (well, Danish oil to be exact) will be what I have to try to match on two other different types of wood (pine and Philippine mahogany) for the slats and poly's and whatever else I might cook up. Note the shadow cast by the diffuser...shows the profile very well.
