Mystery American Amplifier

I am begging all audio experts near and far to offer any facts, opinions, or rumors regarding my mystery amplifier.

It's an inheritance from my Aunt. A 1970s vintage with the label, "PM Stereo 200" on the face. The rear of the unit reads, "Martex Corporation - Seattle, WA". There is no model or serial number and I unfortunately have no paperwork.

I've checked with the good people at The Vintage Knob and audiotools.com. Nothing.

My first thought was that maybe it was pro gear like Celt said, but it's missing the balanced inputs pro gear is known to use. It's a heck of a dual-mono design, though. I'm not too keen on the thin and scattered wireing inside. I'll bet it's from a small-time company from the 70's that is no longer around. Shame too since it looks like their engineers were headed in the right direction with this amp - high end.

Yes, ask and I shall recieve! Thanks for all the input. I don't think my Aunt could of been associated with professional gear but I'll ask. Unfortunately there is no preamp to go with this unit.

It sounds very warm to me.

Does anyone know where I could get more information on P&M PWR? And finally, would someone recommend a starting bid for E-bay?

Why not keep it as a momento? How would your Aunt feel if she knew you were going to sell something she gave to you as a gift? Just trying to shift the obvious attention that may be headed your way.

Before it explodes maybe the word, "inheritance" was a bad choice. My aunt is alive and well, it's still her amplifier. I am helping her consolidate her belongings as she will be moving to a smaller home.

I apologize for my audacity, and the more I read the better I understand this website and my obvious bad taste in postings.

My aunt and I still have 1500 albums to go through!

What's with that fuseholder on the rightside inside the case? Or at least it looks like a fuseholder. During this perfiod there were a lot of little startups that lasted for only a tear or so.
