Ok. Did some homework and examined the unit and online photos.
a. The EPL button supplied is not stock and that why it looks different and is not in the same plane as the others etc. It appears the extension rod is in place but I am not 100% sure is there is something else (besides the button) that needs to go there. I purchased locally another button from at 3400 unit which seems to have the right receiver for the rod. I only hope the seller did not use adhesive etc under the substitute button......
b. The volume/Balance knob is also incorrect. I beleive the volume part is correct, but the balance in the interior is not. I also sourced one of these. Hopefully this will make it operate correctly.
Guess this is why I got a good deal.....the seller is a bit shady though. He said he was selling it for a friend etc.
