NAD D 3045

If you have any interest in this amp at all, let me assure you that it is the best sounding integrated I have ever heard! Holy smokes what a surprise! The biggest surprise is how dynamic it is and how much bass presence it has. This is not a thin/sterile sounding lame class D amp. It has a full-bodied, textured, detailed sound that rivals any integrated I have ever heard. I have heard a LOT of integrateds! Do not hesitate on this if you are intrigued. It punches so far about it's weight it is ridiculous. I think NAD has truly outdone themselves with this one. As a quick point of reference, I thought the D 3020, the D 3020 V2, and the D 7050 all sounded pretty bad. The 3045 is on a completely different level to all of them.

Have you ever listened to some of the contemporary amps like the Yamaha r-n602? I'm trying to decide which to get. My gut tells me that the Yamaha would sound better, but I'm not certain based on all the raves about the D 3045

I have to disagree with you on the D 3020 which based on my experience lives up to its hype. If the 3045 is anything like it then I will have to check it out. Thanks for the heads up!

I may have overstated my opinion on the 3020. It wasn't BAD... I just thought the sound was a bit thin and sterile for my tastes. Overall, it certainly was neutral and reasonably well-detailed. Honestly..I mean honestly, if you are/were a fan of the 3020, you MUST try out the 3045. It really is one of the best sounding integrated amplifiers I have ever heard. Super full, rich sound with a wide sound stage.
