I've used them and they're good. Since they have two screws to hold the wires, you get a good firm connection.
 
Just know that they have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the Nakamichi we all know and love (and who used to put food on my table). That ship sailed long ago and now the brand/logo has been hijacked. I'd look for something comparable or better at Parts Express out of respect for the real Nak, and to not support the people who stole the name.
 
I've used them and the screw heads disintegrated when I tried to back them out. Much like a facet washer screw does. I can't recommend them.
 
I've been using the Nak banana's for over 3 years on different systems. Removed and re-used several of the plugs and never had any problems with them. I recommend them to friends :thmbsp:

My experience when working in an audio store is that with heavy use the other type get loose. These one have been fine, bought a pack of 24 or so to keep the cost down, needed 22 just for my HT!

Yep, I've also used the above BFA-style bananas and they are excellent for the dollars.

Otherwise, if you're not adverse to soldering, I highly recommend the low-mass beryllium copper BFA plugs such as MultiContact LS4, Nerve Audio and CMC etc.

BFA: Best. Banana plug. Ever.

No contest against the leafspring type; far better contact surfaces.

As always, just my opinion, YMMV.

I can't endorse the BFAs. I have bent them fairly easily but then I'm used to using professional Dual Banana Plugs, Pomona, the good stuff. Having a single BFA means I have to be more careful unplugging and making sure the two singles don't touch each other. Never a problem with the Pomonas.

The Pomona knock-offs are junk. The screws are not full length threaded and this means that even though the hole will accept a large cable, the screw will not reach the threads to be able to tighten onto the cable. Additionally, the banana peeled on one of mine, pure junk. For me, Pomona is the way to go. Get stuff that works.
 
I have them in some of my systems.

They do the job just fine but I'd advise putting clear heat shrink tubing over them to avoid shorts.

I tend to prefer the dual bananas as you avoid that danger and they have a tab to identify the ground connection by feel.

I bought a bunch of those from Delihaus last year. They work fine! Love the two screw set-up!

I have some, and I'm not a fan. They work fine and are simple to put together, but my choice would be a banana plug where you push the wire through and screw the plug on. Takes a lot less time, especially if you want to swap cables.

In fairness, they didn't steal anything, they paid good money for the name - just as many others have for so many other respected audio (& non-audio) companies down through the years.

Putting the vast majority of its eggs in the cassette basket proved fatal to the original company.

Me too. You can get them for less than $1 each depending on how many you buy. I was pleasantly surprised with them...they didn't seem cheap at all. Very solid, and all threads seemed to be of very good quality. No problems. I wrapped the black plug with black electrical tape to avoid "accidents" with the other nearby red plug.

I've been using them for several years now. They fit really tight. I think they are good construction and you can't beat the price.
 
I also have been using these, no problems except the Philips heads stripping. The newer version use a normal straight slot screw.
 
I much more prefer dual banana plugs myself (on left in pic below). I have this great fear, no matter how unfounded, that my kids (or someone else's) will pull them out while the system is going. No great harm on the dual plugs, but loose ones are heavy and will immediately fall down and clink together shorting. Think "clackers" if anyone remembers those finger breaking torture devices marketed as "toys".

Although I don't have any, would like to find the holder shown in the pic on the right. If it were adjustable, that would really make it nice.
