Someone run! The Marantz 4400 alone is worth at least half the asking price. Add in the Carver, SAE, Phase Linear, and vintage Sony...

I'm about an hour away.......BUT, there's no way in hell I'm going! Problem is I'm overflowing with stuff already (close to 50 pair speakers, a plethora of amps, tuners, receivers, turntables, tape decks, cd players, headphones, headphone amps, computers, etc), and I can't part with a damned thing!! There's just too much stuff in that storage locker for me to lug home. :tears:

oh - I forgot the standard disclaimer...

"Not Me"

Are you kidding me!?! - If I had all of this, it sure wouldn't be thrown on CL!!

All that gear, mostly quad stuff. If I weren't separated from it by the Pacific Ocean and the North American continent in one direction, and by the Eurasian continent and the Atlantic Ocean in the other direction, I'd be all over that. Then again, I'd end up divorced if I brought home all that stuff, at this point. Oh, well... I hope it at least goes to a good home with an appreciative AKer.

:scratch2:
This is the 4th listing I have seen in the last week for large lots of vintage audio gear on CL. No mention of the items working or not. I wonder if this is a new trend?
Maybe guys flipping the stuff that are selling off the good working stuff and listing the non working items in one large lot.
Not that there is anything wrong with that. That lot for 2 grand isn't bad even if every item needs repair IMO.

I have a garage full of in need of attention stuff and I have been tempted to do this myself at times.

If I lived closer to that than California, I'd find a way to come up with the $2K... I'm sure I could score a few nice pieces of gear for myself and sell the rest and pay off most of my debt.

Bloody hell -- lots of stuff! I'd do that, if I weren't a couple of thousand miles away.:thmbsp: Probably a good thing that I am. :D

Yep, you could have the Marantz 4400 and the kool Heath 4 channel scope for free, and sell off the rest and still be ahead.

Man, isn't there any Ak'er from the NE who'll go after this?

Regards,

Bart
