Need help figuring out some semantics...

I have a set of ESS model seven(ish) speakers that I was suckered into buying, I tore them apart and the tweeters are blown, crossover is totally out of spec, and I want to rebuild them better than the original. Could someone please help me decide how I could integrate a ribbon tweeter into the mix? I love electrostatic tweeter's sound, but I'm rather inexperienced with crossover building and would like to get it right the first time. For starters, how do you figure out what farad measurement equals a given pass-through and db slope?

They're not electrostatic, nor are they AMTs. If you do a Google search for speaker crossover design you'll find several guides that will tell you how to figure all that out. I believe Parts Express also has a crossover design page.
