Need help identifying these Altec's

I have speakers in my home that are almost power matched across the full spectrum. The woofers are rated at 100 watts rms total, the midrange 135 watts total and the tweeters 100 watts total rms. That means they should be able to handle 6 db peaks. Or 400 watts for the woofers 540 for the midrange and 400 watts for the tweeters. Notice I said peaks, short term peaks. My amps which are driving my tri amped speakers are rated at 200 watts and because I use Multi channel amps they start waveform changing distortion at 240 watts when all 6 channels are operating and 260 when just the two bass for instance when the Power Guard is activated. That said because my speakers are efficient when compared to the average home speaker system I seldom see peaks over 20 watts. Giving me plenty of dynamic space for really short peaks without irritating sound being generated by over driven drivers..

Over the years I have used tube power amps, 5 types of SS amps and tried many others. The amps I prefer are SS and have power guard and are direct coupled . no transformers or autoformers. Its because of the speakers I chose not the capabilities of the autoformers.
