Need help ID'ing Audax/Polydax driver

Will do a similar photo of mine in a few min.

Terrible photo, butthe markings can be seen. These were bought new by me many years ago.

Remove the Polydax sticker from mine and they look the exact same.

Mine must have been incorrectly stamped with 8 ohm instead of 4 ohm. Or incorrectly wired to 4 ohms instead of 8 ??????

Incorrect stamping, I think that is the most likely thing. Yours are the 4 layer coil as well (well I think it says 4C) perhaps that is wrong as well.

Just a thought, have you checked your meter on something else?

Yep, kinda tough to see in the picture but magnifying glass shows it to be 4C as well.

Been doing some other work so know the meter's fine.

Stamping issues aside, I'm obviously pleased these all turned out to be 4 ohm units.

Now, I'm ready to go with this project. Re-paint the cabs, work on the x'overs, re-foam the woofs, tighten and re-glue everything up, re-grill em and have a go at them.

Probably store my 8" Audax bextrenes for another 25 years! lol.

As mentioned got two sets of Tangent RS2 and two sets of Tangent RS4 with good ones in.

What happened? Did you fill the woofer cabs with the magic gas?
