Need HELP!!

Man drop what your doing and go get your friends console. You will not find a better deal than that. There's no need to look futher right now.

Ok, so I’m back to square one! My friend gave me the fisher. I think it’s gorgeous. Everything works and is in mint condition. Brought it home......doesn’t fit in our house where it needs to go. I tried but I couldn’t make it work anywhere. Way too big and bulky and I have a giant piece of metal work above it that sticks out and is bolted into the wall. The lid won’t open unless I have it 2 ft from the wall! Now I have to return it to him.
So, I will be sticking with my technics sl-q2. Could you guys please give me some good links or names/models of pre amps and power amps that I would need to go with that tt? Thanks. I attatched some pics of why I couldn’t keep the fisher

Yikes, I didn't really fully appreciate the scale of the Fisher until now. I know you posted a picture but...dayum.

I'd be moving that wall hanging but that's just me. :D

In any case, note to self: measure first before moving heavy furniture.

That Fisher console is a beautiful piece. I'd also move the thing above it. Priorities brother...priorities

HAHAHHAA! I hear ya! The thing above can’t move. It has a TON of sentimental value. My dad and I welded and built it together before he died. The “B” is for our last name Baptista. So that HAS to stay. Other part of it......wifey did NOT like the cabinet. Lol. That’s always a killer of dreams right there! Lol. Hardest part for me is having to return it to a friend who was so stoked about gifting it to me. He DID request I give it back to him if I couldn’t use it. Since it belonged to his grandparents. I’m bummed cause I honk I might just have to build my own cabinet. I was really wanting a vintage one.

So here is what I was thinking and wanted to run it by u guys. Since the cabinet wont work inmy house.....what if I removed all the electronics from it and either built one or bought a cabinet that would work. It would be worth it correct? I would have the fisher tube receiver and turntable. All I would need is a set of smaller bookshelf type speakers and a cabinet. Think I should go that route? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks
